Here is a simple explanation on how to use the Tool Palette in Paint Shop Pro v.8 and v.9. For a more detailed explanation go to your PSP. v.9 user guide on page 17 or in PSP v.8 on page 18.
Above is a picture of the tools palette. Below I will list each tool from left to right. At this time I will not go into full details about how each tool is used. This page is just to give you a visual of each tool so that you will know where they are when trying to negotiate PSP tutorials.
Row One
Zoom Tool, Raster Deform Tool, Crop Tool, Move Tool, Freehand Selection Tool, Dropper Tool, Paint Brush, Clone Tool, Emboss Tool
Row Two
Lighten/Darken Brush Tool, Eraser Tool, Picture Tube Tool, Pastel Tool, Flood Fill (bucket)Tool, Text Tool, Rectangle Tool, Pen Tool, Object Tool
Not all of these tools are available in version 8. When you open a tool a Tool Palette will open with different options for that tool.
These are the basic tools and what they look like. If you forget what a tool's name is then just hover your mouse over the icon for a text pop up containing the name of it.
