and any other is purely coincidental as this is my original creation.
**This tut was copied from my "Snow Pony" site. My old watermark is on the images.
In our last tutorial I showed you how to add a new background to an image. In this tutorial I'll show you
how to add a border to your image. When we finished the last tutorial we ended up with a picture that looks similar to the
one below.
1.)Go to Image > Borders. A new window will pop up. Below are the settings that I used. I chose white so that I could fill in the border
with a custom color or pattern.
2.) Click on your Magic Wand and touch the new border with it. Below are the settings that I used for mine.
3.)With your border still selected go to your Bucket Fill and click it on. Now go to your color pallet and open
up the new color window. Use your mouse to hover over a chosen color in your picture. Once you get the desired color click your mouse once and
then click O.K. (at this point your border will still be white. I had to back track on mine so ended up with a shot of the border already colored)
4.) Use your Bucket Fill to fill in your selected border. Then click on Effects>Inner Bevel. Below are the settings that I used for mine.
5.)Now go to Selections>Select None
6.)You should end up with something similar to the image below.
You have now learned how to cut the background from an image, work with layers, add a new background color and add a new border. New tutorials will be added in the future so
please check back.
